Complaints procedure

We take our patient feedback very seriously – that’s why we’re proud to have so many positive testimonials, which span both our team and the treatments we offer.

But we do recognise that as a business, we’re always learning and growing, and sometimes things don’t go according to plan. In these situations, we have an official complaints process in place to not only help resolve any issues, but to also help restore your confidence in us as a dental practice. We aim to deal with any complaints in-house in a swift, sympathetic and professional way.

Our complaints process involves a full and fair investigation into your concerns, and we will invite you into our practice to discuss any problems in a quiet and private area. We aim to respond to a verbal complaint within 24 hours. Both written complaints, and verbal complaints that haven’t been resolved within the 24-hour window, are acknowledged within 3 working days, with a full response within 4 weeks. We may ask for more time to continue our investigations, if needed.

If you feel your complaint hasn’t been resolved satisfactorily, you can also contact the following:

General Dental Council (GDC) – this body regulates all dental professionals
Care Quality Commission (CQC) – this body regulates private and NHS dental care services
Dental Complaints Service – this organisation works with the GDC to resolve complaints concerning private dental care

If you’re concerned about raising a complaint with us, please note that we never discriminate against patients and you can speak to any of our staff. If you’ve been left disappointed or unsatisfied, we want to put things right and give you an explanation and apology, where appropriate, and assurance the problem won’t happen again, where possible.
